Standing Qigong: Holding the Ball Below

1. Stand shoulder with apart, shoulders are lowered and arms are relaxed, knees a little bent. The head is suspended as if it’s pulled by a string.

2. Then float your hands and elbows on front of you. It should be around your naval (lower Dantian, in Chinese). Imagine you are holding a ball.

3. Imagine a beam of light going between the centers of both palms (Lao Gong, in Chinese). As you inhale feel the palms slightly move away from one another, and then as you exhale they move back.

4. Maintain this position anywhere between one to three minutes.
