On Saturday, April 29, 2017, the Tai Chi Chuan Center of New York will celebrate its 14th year of World Tai Chi Day in Bryant Park with free classes and demonstrations from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on the Fountain Terrace at the Western entrance on 6th Ave and 41st Street. All ages and abilities are welcome for free classes and demonstrations. Participants are advised to wear loose clothing and flat shoes or sneakers.
The celebration kicks off the Tai Chi Chi Chuan Center's summer-long
program of Free Eternal Spring and Tai Chi Classes in Bryant Park.
Classes will be held from May to September on Tuesdays and Thursday
mornings, 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM. This program, in partnership with Bryant
Park (http://bryantpark.org), has delivered tens of thousands of free
class hours with an average class size of more than forty people.
World Tai Chi Day has been celebrated in over 60 countries since
1999. Tai Chi Chuan is a unique system of health and self-defense that
originated in China nearly a thousand years ago and is interwined with
the development of acupuncture and meditation.
